"If you love John Bannon packet tricks and his explanations, you’ll enjoy this trick. It has a surprise ending that you’d expect from card tricks. It’s nice to have a fun story to tell and special well-made fly cards to match. What’s also nice about Buzz Kill is that Bannon teaches three versions of the trick: the standard version that is shown on the promotional video, a “fractal” version where the cards are fully examinable, and an “oil and queens” version that allows the magician to perform the trick in the hands of the spectator rather than on a table." -Danny Selnick, Linking Ring Magazine
"This is a really great little pack of cards with an interesting premise of flies, fly paper and squashed flies. You will learn some great routines on the tutorial including an assembly style routine with a surprise they won’t see coming. The cards themselves are extremely well made and I love the cartoonish graphics for the flies and the squashed flies. The routines themselves are fun and very magical. You will learn the main routine which is super easy to do if you can do an Elmsley count, and included is an Oil and Water style routine and a version where you are left completely clean. All routines are easy to do, and even the easy version is great because people aren’t going to want to inspect the cards because of the fun nature of the trick. It’s not a pick a card find a card and the storyline here is meant to be fun and I think this makes the impact even stronger.
As far as packet tricks go this is a good one. Has a great story line and engages an audience." -Paul Romhany, !VanishMagazine
